Hi, I’m Robby

Robby is a lovely, shy young boy who is looking for a calm and patient home where he can settle at his own pace. He has likely missed out on important early socialisation, so new people, places and experiences can feel overwhelming for him. Once he feels safe, Robby bonds quickly to his handler and enjoys gentle affection, often leaning in or placing his paws on your lap. He should be allowed indoors and included as part of the family to support his confidence building. When meeting new people, rolling treats toward him will help keep interactions positive. Robby is still learning to walk on lead, so his new owner will need to continue training in a quiet area such as the backyard before attempting short walks. He will do best with a gentle, patient owner committed to positive reinforcement. Robby is suitable for the right family and is better matched with calmer children, as he can be unsure and startles easily. He may do well with a calm, older dog, though he can be a little worried when meeting other dogs, so a meet-and-greet at adoption is essential. Robby will thrive in a peaceful home that can offer reassurance and understanding.
