Meet Rye - this shy but charming girl might play hard to get at first, but trust us... she's worth the wait.
Rye came into care a bit unsure of the world - but beneath that timid exterior there's a playful, affectionate sweetheart just waiting to flirt her way into your heart.
Rye will need a patient and understanding human who can let her set the pace. She may take a little time to settle into a new environment, but once she feels safe, you'll start to see her true self shine - and it's adorable. Think cheeky zoomies, enthusiastic bunny-kicking of her favourite toys, and the cutest little habit of grooming them when she's done (because even toys deserve love).
When she's feeling affectionate, Rye is all about the gentle head bunts and soft little kisses - her way of saying "okay... I think I love you now."
Because she's still building her confidence, Rye would do best in a home with teens or older children who understand cat body language and can respect her space when she needs it. She may also enjoy the company of another calm, confident, and gentle cat or kitten.

- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
