Buddy is a gentle senior boy searching for a calm, quiet home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort. He can be unsure with close handling, so he'll need an owner who can spend quality time building trust and forming a positive, steady bond. Once he feels safe, Buddy shows his affectionate side-leaning in close and happily settling beside his people, likely becoming a devoted couch companion.

Shelter life has been stressful for him, and he's shown some anxiety in the kennels, but in a peaceful home he's expected to settle into a comforting routine. He loves his food and isn't picky, making simple enrichment like snuffle mats or egg cartons a great way to keep him happily engaged.

Buddy needs a quiet household with teens or older, as a busy environment would be overwhelming for him. He must be allowed indoors and included as part of the family. He's social around other dogs but not overly playful, and he can be a little tense during greetings, so any dog friends will need to meet him at the time of adoption to ensure a good match.

This sweet older man is ready for a soft place to land, gentle companionship, and a peaceful home where he can finally relax and feel loved.
