Mavi is a sweet, gentle budgie with some hand-taming already established. His name means "Blue" in Turkish, which suits his calm and charming nature. Mavi would make a lovely companion for adopters who enjoy interacting with their birds while also respecting their need for space.
🐦 Experience Level
Mavi is somewhat hand-tamed, making him suitable for adopters with basic to moderate bird experience. With patience and positive interaction, he has great potential to continue building confidence and trust with his carers.
🏡 Housing Needs
Mavi requires a spacious cage or aviary that allows him to move freely and stretch his wings. His enclosure should include varied perch types to support foot health. Once settled, he will benefit from daily opportunities for safe, supervised flight. He would be happiest remaining an aviary-style bird or in a generously sized enclosure.
🧠 Enrichment
To stay happy and mentally stimulated, Mavi will need a variety of toys, natural branch perches, and foraging opportunities. Rotating enrichment regularly will help prevent boredom and encourage natural behaviours.
🥕 Diet
Mavi needs a balanced diet consisting of quality seed or pellets, fresh vegetables offered daily, and clean water available at all times to support good health.
💛 Companionship
Budgies are social birds and thrive with companionship. Mavi would do best with another budgie friend or with regular, gentle daily interaction from his carers if kept as a single bird.
